Ok, here it is. After 14 months of trying to figure out just what the President could propose that would gain unanimous support of the GOP, I finally have it! While watching the beginning of the Bruins/Flyers game, the traditional singing of God Bless America came on. (The Flyers have done this for all my life). And it hit me! Its been proposed before, but has never succeded. Now the time has come. Mr. President, change the National Anthem to God Bless America!

I liked the theme from the animated movie, Team America World Police: "America! @!$%# Yeah!" Very sweet and emotional. And it tells the world how we feel about everyone else.

Get religion out of all things government and keep it in the Churches for the intellectual handicap where it belongs.

As far as it being something the republicans would agree to, at this point I wouldn't be surprised if they would oppose Obama trying to pass one of Bush 41's suggestions for an amendment banning flag burning.

That "Dog shed his grace on thee part" still doesn't comport all that well with our bespotted history. But for tunefulness it's certainly better than the SSB. I like the sentiments and historical references of My Country, Tis of thee but for the stilted archaic language and the fact that the tune is the same as God Save the Queen, so it's out. So, I think AMERICA, @!$%# YEAH!! has got be the one.

As much as I hate the nation anthem America the beautiful is too anti-gop and Nancy Pelosi would have a fit if it was changed. Rush would threaten that he would leave this country again if it was changed to that,...
Any how their answer would be NO, besides we have more pressing matters than worrying about changing that despicable national anthem if anything our national anthem should be closer to Canada's now that one is perfect or even this one.
