Maybe the Republicans would do good to heed the old saying "As Maine goes, so goes the (Republican) Nation."

We cannot be more proud of our Senators records. They represent the best of our state and the nation. The republican party would certainly do best to start to line their parties platforms more in line with todays America.

Snowe said Republicans who refuse to compromise haven’t learned the lessons of the past couple of elections. She noted that she won in 2006 and Sen. Susan Collins, her fellow Maine Republican, won in 2008 when the GOP was losing ground elsewhere. The party should take note and begin charting a new course, she said.

I would love to see the responses of Limbaugh and Hanity on this quote.

More Than Happy

Limbaugh and Hannity would have a BS response, wouldn't they? I'm from Massachusetts myself, but I am proud of well that the other New England states are seemingly able to resist the kind of petty nonsense from self-described Conservatives when elections roll around. Maine seems to be a state that actually practices individualism and doesn't just talk about it for three hours a day.
